Zhe Shelly Wang who works for billionaire Bill Gates as a translator was reportedly linked with the divorce between Bill Gates and Melinda. Zhe Wang took to social and denied the unfounded rumours, she said that she had no part to play in it.
Wang who has been working for Bill and Melinda Gates' foundation since March 2015 alleged Chinese social media application Weibo that people have been spreading rumours which she at first thought would go away on its own. "but I did not expect the rumours to become more and more crazily spread," she wrote in Chinese.
Zhe Wang continued, "How many books can I read, so why spend time on the unfounded rumours?"
"I would like to thank everyone for their concern and help in dispelling the rumours through private messages in the past 24 hours"
She added a link to a story that mentioned people spreading the vicious rumour to "vilify an innocent Chinese girl"
Zhe Wang, who has now disable her LinkedIn profile, reportedly started to work as a language interpretation in September 2012 with the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She went on to work on many TED Conferences after April 2013. As an interpreter, she saw a team that interpreted TED events in French, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Spanish and German. Apart from all that, she is also working for the Yale School of Management and Harvard Business School.
So far, the exact reason for the divorce between Melinda Gates and Bill Gates has not been revealed, The couple in their public statement, released on May 4, wrote that they can no longer grow as a couple. They added that their decision to end their marriage comes after they put "a great deal of thought and a lot of work" into their relationship. The couple also mentioned raising their three kids together and building the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, for which they will continue to work together.
"We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life, " 65-year-old Bill and 56-year-old Melinda Gates added their statement. According to the divorce petition filed by Melinda Gates, the marriage between the couple is "irretrievably broken".
Apart from Zhe Wang, another name was tossed around in connection with the divorce-Ann Winblad, Bill Gates's ex-girlfriend. Bill and Ann used to go on a vacation every year even after being married to other people. Many alleged that Winblad had a role to play in breaking up Bill Gates and his wife. Read more here.
