What Can Fans Expect From Yellowstone New Season?

Fans are eagerly waiting for Yellowstone's new season so that they can have answers for various cliffhangers presented at the end of season 4. Will Kayce and Monica's marriage continue to crumble? Will John find love in his life again? What career path will Beth choose, now that she has been fired from her work?

Yellowstone follows the story of the Dutton family, who owns the largest ranch in Montana as they attempt to protect their land and reputation under the leadership of patriarch John Dutton. The main cast of the show includes Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes and Kelsey Asbille among others. The show has slowly and steadily gained popularity amongst the viewers and thus is it no surprise that it was renewed for a fifth season in February 2022 by the makers.

While waiting for the new season, the fans have thoroughly enjoyed the Yellowstone prequel mini-series 1883 which will soon have additional episodes as per reports. While the makers ruled out the possibilities of a second season, 1883 will be succeeded by another prequel, 1932, revolving around another generation of the Dutton family.

Here's what the fans can expect to see in Yellowstone new season:

1. Actors Luke Grimes and Kelsey Asbille teased the fates of their characters in a recent interview as the latter said, "I’m ready to have a sweet little baby on set." So it is likely that Monica Dutton will give birth to her second baby in Yellowstone Season 5 as it was revealed that she is pregnant during Season 4.

2. However, Kayce and Monica Dutton might have a rough patch in Yellowstone Season 5. It is hard to say whether the couple's marriage will be able to survive yet another blow or not yet. Asbille, who plays Monica on the show, said in an interview, "I hope that they’ll be happy in the end, but it’s not likely, to be honest." So let's just not get our hopes up quite yet.

3. Beth (Kelly Reilly) might supposedly blackmail Jaime (Wes Bentley) as she witnessed him murdering his own biological father in the previous season. It is likely that the relations between the two are going to become tenser than ever.

4. The characters of Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White), his fiancée Emily (Kathryn Kelly) and Teeter (Jen Landon) have been promoted to regular cast in Yellowstone new season.

5. Fans will get to watch more of Jefferson White's character Jimmy as the actor rubbished the rumours suggesting his exit from the show. "I’m in season 5. Jimmy’s in season 5," he clarified speaking to Us Weekly.

6. Beth and Rip entered matrimony at the end of Season 4, but it can be easily assumed that the couple will have to deal with many heartbreaks as the former still hasn't told her husband about her abortion and forced sterilisation.

7. According to reports, fans can expect to see a budding romance between John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo). "I know a lot of people watch it for the cowboys and the ranch, but I watch it for the love story. We're turning up the heat. It's been a hard couple of years, let's turn up the heat for a minute." Piper Perabo said teasing the budding romance between the characters during an interview.
