One of the best actors in the South industry, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen playing a surrogate mother in her upcoming film Yashoda. The name relates to Lord Krishna's foster mother Yashoda and the story throws light on the illegal and criminal activities going on related to surrogate mothers. The movie is directed and written by Hari-Harish and the production is done by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. The promotions for the film are going on currently in the presence of the lead actor Prabhu who was recently diagnosed with myositis.

Yashoda Plot And Cast
The movie stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role of Yashoda, a surrogate mother for an organisation named Eva which provides surrogacy services to people of the upper class. The children birthed by these surrogate mothers are said to become children of some rich person belonging to high society. The organisation looks after these mothers, providing them with the best nutrition and health facilities. However, one day Yashoda witnesses something rather suspicious and decides to go to the root of the problem.
The movie ">showcases a dark web of criminal activities that take place behind the mask of the surrogacy organisation which is supported and powered by some influential people in society. The story is about Yashoda'a efforts and struggles to expose the truth and bring an end to the wrongdoings of the rich people. The movie also stars Unni Mukundan who plays Dr Gautham who works at Eva and develops a special bond with Yashoda and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar as Madhubala, the head of Eva. Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Shatru, Sampath Raj and Kalpika Ganesh will also be seen playing important roles in the film.
The film was earlier scheduled to release in August 2022 but due to a delay in filming, the release date was shifted. The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages in theatres on November 11.
