Here's How Yami Gautam Decided To Get Married To Aditya Dhar During The Pandemic

She broke the news to her fans and followers on social media by sharing her wedding pictures which showed her wearing a red colour outfit which was later revealed to be a family heirloom. The pictures of her wedding went viral on social media.

In a recent interview, Yami Gautam revealed how she decided to get married during her busy schedule and the pandemic. Gautam said that it was just the timing of it.

She said that when the couple told their family members about their engagement plans, Gautam's maternal grandmother said that the engagement ceremonies are not part of their family's culture so "how about getting married?".

Aditya Dhar then asked Yami Gautam if she was ready to do it. Yami Gautam agreed. And that is how the couple planned their wedding in Gautam's family home in Himachal Pradesh in June this year. However unplanned and impromptu, Gautam said that it was the only way she wanted to get married. She said, "That's who we are."

Gautam and Dhar started knowing each other during the promotion of Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film was directed by Aditya Dhar. The film starred Yami Gautam and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. After becoming friends during the film's promotions, two years later the couple decided to get married.

On the work front,  Yami Gautam is currently between different OTT projects such as Dasvi, Bhoot Police, A Thursday and Lost. During the interview, Gautam revealed that she is doing three more unannounced projects along with others.

Yami Gautam had recently received a summon from Enforcement Directorate(ED) office asking her to present herself at the agency office on July 7. This was in connection with an alleged Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violation case against her.
