Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues stepped onto the grand stage of Test  cricket at the iconic Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. "Waited a long time for this day," Jemimah exclaimed on her Twitter handle, encapsulating the emotion and dedication that led to this significant milestone.

India made a bold move, introducing three debutantes - Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Singh Thakur, and Shubha Satheesh - in the one-off Test against England. Jemimah's joy knew no bounds as she donned the whites for India’s Only Test against England. What made it even more special was the presence of her family, witnessing this monumental  moment right in their hometown. In a heartfelt reflection, she shared, "To make my test debut in my hometown and have my parents and brothers join the team hurdle for the cap presentation is so special."
