Karimnagar Woman Delivers Quadruplets, Her Twin Sibling Had Triplets Before

A Karimnagar woman gave birth to four children on August 21 at a local private hospital. The woman has a twin sister who reportedly gave birth to triplets a few months ago.

Identified as Nikitha, the woman gave birth to four children in a private hospital in Karimnagar, Telangana on Saturday.

Woman Gives Birth To Quadruplets

Hailing from Nagulamalyala of Karimnagar rural Mandal, Nikitha was admitted to Yashoda Krishna Hospital as she developed labour pains on August 20, Friday. The following day, she gave birth to four children – two girls and two boys.

According to a report by Telangana Today, the health condition of the mother as well as newborn is stable. However, they were born underweight, hence, had to be kept in incubators.

It has been also reported that Nikitha's twin sister Likitha gave birth to three children four months ago.

Nikitha's family, including her husband Saikiran Goud was elated to have been blessed with four children at a time.

Earlier, an Australian woman left the doctors stunned by delivering a healthy baby with two vaginas and uteruses. The fact that the 31-year-old Evelyn has two vaginas and two uteruses means that she has two sets of fallopian tubes and ovaries enabling her to carry two babies in any one of them at the same time.

Evelyn's condition is called uterus didelphys which affects about 1 in 3,000 women worldwide. She used to work as a sex worker before and currently is a trained nurse. Reportedly, she kept mum about her condition for a long time as she hesitated to reveal it to anyone.

One day, during her job as a sex worker, one of her clients turned out to be a gynaecologist and the whole session transformed into a medical exam for her.
