Who Was Noor Mukadam? Daughter Of Pakistan Ex-Diplomat Murdered

Who is Noor Mukadam? On Tuesday, the daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat was found dead in Islamabad.

This came amidst a major diplomatic row between Pakistan and Afghanistan after an alleged abduction of Silsila Alikhil, daughter of an Afghan diplomat in Pakistan.

The daughter of Shaukat Mukadam, Noor Mukadam's dead body was found in the capital's upscale Sector F-7/4 area. Shaukat Mukadam has previously served as the Pakistani diplomat to South Korea and Kazakhstan.

According to reports, Mukadam was allegedly shot dead before being “slaughtered”. Her friend, identified as Zahir Zakir, has been arrested for his alleged connection with the murder. Zakir is reported to be the son of "a leading businessman of the country".

The police said in a statement reported by Samaa TV, "A man named Zahir Jaffer, who was allegedly involved in the murder, was arrested on the spot and taken to the police station."

SSP (Investigation) Ataur Rehman reportedly said that "drug usage was not the domain of the police investigation". Further, he added that Zakir "may have had a past history ."

SSP Rehman reportedly found a pistol at the suspect's house. Though the initial investigation did not show a firearm injury according to reports. He further said that a bullet was recovered which was stuck in the chamber. The police are now looking whether the suspect had a criminal record in other countries.

He said, "If they really knew that its ultimate result would be a murder then they also fall into vicarious liability and criminal negligence but in case they didn't know what its result would be then we will only hold them responsible as far as their liability goes." According to reports, a local had alerted the nearest police station which was barely 10 mins away from the crime scene.
