Alexandra Djavi death: The Russian actor who rose to fame in India due to her performance in the South Indian horror-comedy film Kanchana 3, was found dead on August 19 at her rented apartment near Siolim in North Goa. She was 24-years-old.

The actor who had appeared in the Tamil film Kanchana 3, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her rented home while the door was locked from inside. Also known as Ally Ri Djavi in the industry, the actor was in Goa on a tourist visa and was sharing her apartment with her boyfriend, as per reports. The police officials said that the cause of death in the case is yet to be discovered considering the autopsy report is awaited.

As of now, the preliminary investigations suggest that Djavi might have died by suicide. Police officials said that only post mortem reports can confirm the cause of death. No suicide note was discovered as of now, according to reports.

Djavi, a model by profession, featured in the 2019 film Kanchana 3, playing the character Rosy who turns into a revenge-seeking ghost. Directed and starred by Raghava Lawrence, the film was a major hit.
The 24-year-old actor was also featured in Kadhal Oru Vizhiyil song which has been played more than 13 million times on Youtube.
Back in 2019, Djavi stated in a complaint filed by her that a Chennai photographer allegedly blackmailed her and sought sexual favours. Following the same, the accused was arrested however, the case is still being investigated. The police officials confirmed that the case does not seem to be linked to the model’s death.
Djavi holds more than 29,000 followers on her official Instagram account currently.
The actor was quite active on social media and often used the platform to share updates and pictures of herself. Her last post was captioned, "We all get changes, Some of the people know how to use changes for a better life, others just thinking in past and can’t see the future."
