Russian Actor Alexandra Djavi From Film 'Kanchana 3' Dies In Goa

The Kanchana 3 actor Alexandra Djavi passed away in Goa. She was found hanging at her residence in Siolim village of North Goa on Friday.

Alexandra Djavi was reportedly under depression after she broke up with her boyfriend. The 24-years-old actor’s boyfriend was living with her in the same apartment for some time. The police have also recorded his statement in the case.

According to his statement, he had gone out when she died. In 2019, she had filed a complaint against a Chennai-based photographer accusing him of sexual harassment. She also added that he was blackmailing her. The man was also arrested following the complaint.

The police officials said in his statement that they are waiting for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Russian Consulate to conduct the autopsy. According to media reports, Chennai police would be assisting Goa police in the investigation.

The police, according to reports, did not find a suicide note at her residence. Further, the investigation in the sexual harassment case filed by Dvaji is also underway.

Vikram Varma Goa representative of the Russian Consulate in Mumbai said in his statement, "I was informed that the woman had been hounded and blackmailed by a person in Chennai. After a preliminary inquiry, the Chennai police had found enough evidence to register an FIR and subsequently arrest him."

Advocate Varma also urged the police to set up a probe to investigate the "possible role" of the Chennai based photographer against whom Djavi had filed a complaint of sexual harassment. He also said that Djavi's death "may have other facets which are not clearly visible at this stage."

Dajvi was a multi-talented personality. She belonged from Russia. According to her social media profile, she also rapped, modelled and acted. She is known for her role in the South Indian horror film Kanchana 3.
