Vedika Chaubey recently filed a police complaint against actor Ranveer Singh for his nude photoshoot. In a TV debate, she was asked what she found vulgar in his pictures and her comment caused the TV anchor to burst into laughter. The clip of the interaction is going viral on social media.
Ranveer Singh's latest photoshoot is a hot topic as the actor posed for it naked. While a section of social media has applauded him for the "bold" photoshoot, he is also facing moral policing. Some people in Indore 'donated' him clothes to express their criticism regarding the pictures. On the other hand, an FIR has also filed against him by a Mumbai-based divorce, family and matrimonial lawyer named Vedika Chaubey. While participating in a television debate, she called Ranveer Singh's pictures vulgar as they showed his butt which created laughs in the newsroom. Here's all we know about her.
Who Is Vedika Chaubey?
Vedika Chaubey is a family lawyer and the co-founder of Mumbai based legal consultancy firm called AVC and Associates. She works on cases pertaining to divorce, child custody, separation, adoption, Muslim laws, domestic violence and the special marriage act. She is an advocate of women's rights and believes that 'women need to be empowered instead of treating as a helpless victim of male chauvinism' according to her work profile. She is married to advocate Akhilesh Chaubey and has three kids.
Chaubey recently featured on a TV debate and when anchor Nidhi Razdan asked her what she found vulgar in the pictures, she said, "Of course this is vulgar, we can see his 'bum', his video is with me he is completely nude in that video" which caused Razdan to break into laughter.

Vedika was reported to have said that the actor crossed all limits of shamelessness and was disregarding Indian culture to earn money. She said that because of the pictures she has to stop her two daughters and four other girls in her family from checking social media or news as the pictures were everywhere. The pictures were shared online on July 21 and Chaubey filed a complaint against Singh on July 26 at the Chembur police station in Mumbai.
In her police complaint Chaubey accused Singh of insulting women's modesty and hurting their sentiments. Soon after a First Information Report was registered by Mumbai Police in connection with the case.
