Who Is Shriya Pilgaonkar: The 'Fan' actor Shriya Pilgaonkar is the daughter of veteran actor-director, singer, and producer Sachin and the loved Marathi actor Supriya Pilgaonkar.

Shriya's mother, Supriya Pilgaonkar has had some notable works in her name such as Tu Tu Main Main, Sasural Genda Phool and many television and film credits. Shriya is seen alongside her mother Supriya as the mother-daughter duo feature in many ads. Shriya is going to be seen in Rana Daggubati starter trilingual wildlife drama named Kaadan.

• With no plans to step into the acting line like both her parents, Shriya wanted to become a professional swimmer early in her life. She received training for the same and won several medals in school.
• Later, Shriya aspired to become a translator for which she took Japanese classes.
• Further growing on, Shriya decided to pursue the same path as her parents and joined the acting industry.
• Shriya's first movie was the Marathi film Ekulti Ek wherein she played the lead role with her father Sachin Pilgaonkar.
• For Ekulti Ek, Shriya won the Best Debut Actor Award.
• For her Hindi debut, Shriya was seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Fan.
• Currently, her interest expands to being a film actor, director, producer, and stage performer.
• Shriya Pilgaonkar has attended summer school at Harvard University which led her into producing and directing short films.
• She has the short films Painted Signal and Panchagavya to her name.
• The actor is also known for her work in the series Mirzapur.

Shriya Pilgaonkar had opened up about Nepotism when the debate was struck after Sushant Singh Rajput's death. She said, "Everything I’ve done, I’ve auditioned for. People will see the work that you get, they’ll not see the work that you don’t get. I’ve never operated from a place of entitlement, which is why when I started acting, some projects I got, some I didn’t."

Pilgaonkar further added, "I didn’t come into the industry as a star, I was not on the cover of magazines. I didn’t have that kind of journey, so people don’t throw that nepotism word often at me because they have seen that journey."
