Shriya's mother, Supriya Pilgaonkar has had some notable works in her name such as Tu Tu Main Main, Sasural Genda Phool and many television and film credits. Shriya is seen alongside her mother Supriya as the mother-daughter duo feature in many ads. Shriya is going to be seen in Rana Daggubati starter trilingual wildlife drama named Kaadan.

Shriya Pilgaonkar had opened up about Nepotism when the debate was struck after Sushant Singh Rajput's death. She said, "Everything I’ve done, I’ve auditioned for. People will see the work that you get, they’ll not see the work that you don’t get. I’ve never operated from a place of entitlement, which is why when I started acting, some projects I got, some I didn’t."
Pilgaonkar further added, "I didn’t come into the industry as a star, I was not on the cover of magazines. I didn’t have that kind of journey, so people don’t throw that nepotism word often at me because they have seen that journey."
