Who Is American Actor, Producer And Activist Shailene Woodley?

Shailene Woodley is an American actor, producer, and activist who entered the industry just at the age of four and started her career with minor television roles. Woodley was relatively unknown until her Golden Globe-nomination for The Descendants. Since then, Hollywood has taken notice of the young star, as she landed starring roles in two film adaptations of popular books, Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars.

Born on November 15, 1991, in Simi Valley, California, Shailene Woodley's father is a former school principal who works as a family therapist now. Her mother is a school counsellor. Her parents got divorced when she was 14. She has a younger brother named Tanner. Woodley's parents agreed for her to have a career in the glam industry after setting these three rules - remain the person you are, continue schooling with good grades, and have fun!

• Woodley may be best known in Hollywood for having healthy hair, but earlier, she had it all chopped off for her role in The Fault in Our Stars. This is when Woodley decided to donate her locks to an organisation called Children with hair loss, which designs wigs for children in need. She also rallied her friends, family, and fans to do the same.
• If reports are to be believed, Woodley would continue learning in between takes. Her principal would send a teacher to her house once a week to give her work, which she managed along with starring in a hit TV series, working a part-time job, all whilst completing high school.
• At the age of 15, she was diagnosed with scoliosis, a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side, and was put in a chest-to-hip plastic brace to straighten her spine.
• Woodley is a firm Bernie Sanders supporter,  an American politician who served as the junior United States senator.
• In recent news, Woodley confirmed that she is engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The 29-year-old actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday night and confirmed that they have been engaged for a while.
