Who is Sai Tamhankar? The Mysterious Woman In Samantar 2 

Who is Sai Tamhankar?  Tamhankar is a Marathi actor who is well recognised for her work in Marathi movies and television shows.

In 2008, she made her Marathi cinema debut with Sanai Choughade. In addition to Marathi films, the actor has also appeared in Hindi films. Her first Hindi film, Black & White, was released in 2008. She later went on to appear in supporting roles in Bollywood films such as Hunterrr and Ghajini.

Over the course of a 13-year career, Sai's performances have established her as a fine actor. The actor was recently in news for her collaboration with Swwapnil Joshi and Tejaswini Pandit for the Marathi thriller show Samantar season 2. The trio has reunited after six years in the show. 

The 10-episode drama will investigate who this mysterious woman, played by Tamhankar, is and whether Kumar would suffer the same destiny as Chakrapani predicted in his diary.

• Family Katta portrayed Sai as a woman married to an older man. Chandrakant Kulkarni directed the film, and it turned out to be one of Sai’s highly appreciated projects.
• Tu Hi Re was a romcom directed by Sanjay Jadhav. The film was an adaptation of the Tamil movie Sillunu Oru Kaadhal. The role of Nandini, a wife, was played by Sai.
• In addition to acting, Sai composed a song for the film. Swwapnil Joshi and Tejaswini Pandit, Sai’s co-actors in Samantar 2, also starred in the film. Further, Sai’s performance as one of the leads in Vazandar won accolades. 
• For her Bollywood ventures, Tamhakar proceeded to work in Ghajini, Classmates, Hunterrr, Duniyadari, Love Sonia among many other popular projects. Sai is set to appear in Mimi and India lockdown in 2021.   
• Sai has won numerous awards for her acting performances throughout the years. In 2015, FEMINA Power List Maharashtra rewarded Sai with the Most Powerful Women of the Year Award.
• She has also won the Maharashtra Achievers’ Entertainer of the year award in 2018 and Newsmakers Achiever’s Best Actress 2015 award. Sai also became the first Marathi Actress to get featured twice on the cover page of Femina Magazine in 2015. 
• Additionally, Sai owns a wrestling team in the Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal called Kolhapuri Maavle.
