The Hyderabad police detained Niharika Konidela in the early hours of Sunday (April 3) when they raided a famous pub. During the narcotics bust, drugs worth several lakhs were discovered.
Niharika's father, Naga Babu, sent out a video message shortly after the raid. He said that she (Niharika Konidela) had been cleared by the police. He also asked people not to spread rumours.
In the video message, Naga Babu said, "My daughter, Niharika, was detained for being present at a pub last night. Hyderabad police nabbed the management for running the pub beyond closing hours. The police confirmed that she was clean and had nothing to do with the drugs that were recovered from the pub. I have seen baseless news reports doing the rounds on social media. Please stop spreading rumours."
The Hyderabad police reportedly also detained Telugu Bigg Boss Season 2 winner Rahul Sipligunj. According to multiple reports, he was partying at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel's Mink pub in Banjara Hills. Those who had been detained were released once the police had taken their information.

Who Is Niharika Konidela?
-Nagendra Babu's daughter, Niharika Konidela, is an actor and producer. She is the niece of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, both prominent actors. Her relatives include Ram Charan, Sai Dharam Tej, Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, and Vaissnav Tej, as well as her brother Varun Tej.
- On December 9, 2020, she married Chaitanya Jonnalagadda in Udaipur.
- Before pursuing a career as an actor, Konidela worked as a presenter on Telugu-language television. She hosted the Dhee Ultimate Dance Show for ETV Network's Dhee Junior 1 and Dhee Junior 2 segments.

- Under her Pink Elephant Pictures banner, she acted in and produced the Telugu online series Muddapappu Avakai.
