Who is Nidhi Kesarwani? The former District Magistrate of Ghaziabad Nidhi Kesarwani was suspended by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for alleged irregularities in land acquisitions for the Delhi to Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Kesarwani is currently under central deputation, this matter against her has been forwarded to the centre.
In Hindi, the CM's office tweeted, "Following zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered the suspension of the then DM Ghaziabad, now on central deputation and ordered to forward the matter to the centre to initiate departmental action."
The tweet also added that strict action will be taken against people involved in such irregularities. It also mentioned that the FIR against the guilty has been filed. "A section officer and a review officer of the appointment department will also be suspended for the delay in taking up the matter on the probe report. Departmental action will also be initiated against the deputy secretary," added the tweet.

Who Is Nidhi Kesarwani?
She is an IAS officer of the 2004 batch and is presently posted as the director of the National Institue of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi. She is an officer from the Manipur cadre and is presently serving the Union government.
As per the National Law University in Lucknow, she was the Special Secretary in the Department of Higher Education of the Uttar Pradesh Government. She is given the onus of conducting the 2012 Assembly Elections in Lalitpur successfully with a voter turnout of more than 73 percent.
She has also overseen the process of Urban Body elections in 2012 as the DEO of Lalitpur district. She also headed the Flood control and relief management in the Srawasti district. Apart from these, she has also supervised and monitored the Health Sector programmes in Ambedkarnagar and Lalitpur districts which have resulted in improved health care services to people.
She has also been awarded Excellence Award in NREGA Administration for the year 2008-2009 as the District Programme Coordinator for Senapati District in Manipur by the Prime Minister of India.
