Who Is Nidhi Dutta? JP Dutta's Daughter Who Is All Set To Tie The Knot

Nidhi Dutta is the daughter of the popular Bollywood director, film producer and writer JP Dutta who is best known for making patriotic action war films. Nidhi is best known for her roles in the Bollywood action film Paltan (2018), and  she was an assistant director on the sets of Umrao Jaan(2006).

Currently, Nidhi Dutta is in the news since her wedding announcement with director Binoy Gandhi. The two exchanged rings on August 29 last year and were set to get married by December. However, due to the pandemic, the duo decided to postpone their wedding.

Here's what we know about Nidhi Dutta:

• Born on December 10, 1990, Dutta belongs to a Punjabi Brahmin family, which has roots in Gujranwala, Pakistan.
• She is the daughter of Bollywood film director and producer Jyoti Prakash Dutta and former actor Bindiya Goswami who appeared in Bollywood films like Golmaal, Shaan, Khatta Meetha, and Jaani Dushman, among others. Dutta has a younger sister, Siddhi Dutta, who is said to be very close to her.
• Her grandfather,  O.P. Dutta was a famous director of his time, her father J.P Dutta has churned memorable movies such as Border, Umrao Jaan, LOC Kargil, Refugee, Sarhad, and Gulami, to name a few.
• Dutta made her debut with Jee Bhar Ke Jee Le (2017). According to reports at the time, Dutta managed to cut off nearly 26kg  weight with extensive workout and a diet plan. Hopping in the back then the trend of the '10 Year Challenge’, she posted her picture of the before and after of her weight loss journey on her Instagram.
• Dutta got engaged with director Binoy Gandhi on August 29 last year. However, due to the pandemic, the duo decided to postpone their wedding.
• According to reports, the couple is all set to tie a knot this year on March 7 in Jaipur. The sangeet ceremony will be held on March 6.
• A source close to the couple informed the Times Of India that the two will tie a knot at the exact location and under the same tree where Dutta's parents had confessed their love for each other, followed by the proposal.
• Dutta met Gandhi on the set of a film he was making for the former’s company, which also featured her as an actor. While the project never saw the light of the day, they became good friends during the film. Their friendship blossomed into love, and now, they are all set to take their journey forward.
• During an interview with Bombay Times, Nidhi said, that Gandhi is her reason to smile since she has always tried to be the son of the family, a responsible one since her childhood, and growing up, she forgot what it feels like to have someone to lean on no matter what. "Binoy has been my support system, my happiness quotient, and the reason behind my smile for five years now," she said.
• If reports are to be believed, Nidhi Dutta is close friends with Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty, daughter of actor Suniel Shetty.
