Who is Mehwish Hayat? On Aug 14, Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat took to her Instagram handle to wish Independence Day to her fellow countrymen. Hayat shared a picture of herself holding the national flag of Pakistan. But the post resulted in immense trolling of the actor, with netizens commenting on the colour of her bra. The actor however retorted to the negativity calling them "perverts."

Hayat slammed the trolls in her Instagram stories, writing, "The perverts debating the colour of my bra just shows how sick and petty their minds are." Further asking the commenters to grow up, Hayat wrote, "Black, gray or green it is none of your business."

Mehwish Hayat is best known for her roles in Pakistani movies like Actor in Law, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Load Wedding and Chhalawa. All the movies rank among the highest grossing Pakistani films.
The 2012 drama series Meray Qatil Meray Dildar marked a turning point in Hayat's career, earning her love from the audience and awards as well.
She was also appreciated for her role of Laila in Kashif Nisar's 2013 drama Kami Reh Gaee.
In 2019, Hayat was honoured with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Award of Excellence). It is a state recognised honour given to any Pakistani citizen based on their achievements.

On Aug 14, she took to her Instagram handle to post an Independence Day wish. She shared her picture wearing a white kurti and holding the National Flag of Pakistan. "The Quaid said, "It is only with united effort and faith in our destiny that we shall be able to translate the Pakistan of our dreams into reality." Hoisting the flag is not enough, if we really respect this country, we need to embody the ideals of our forefathers. Happy Independence Day. Pakistan Zindabad," she wrote in the caption.
The post went viral after netizens started commenting on the colour of her bra.
The actor's fans supported her after she got trolled. A user said, "I can't believe some of you literally zoomed into this pic to guess the colour of her bra. U all r sick in the head." Another fan said, "I came here after reading dawn news report. They said there was something wrong with your dressing. I don't get what's wrong with your dressing. Weird news report. This is a disrespect."
