Who is Mckayla Maroney: Gold medallist gymnast Mckayla Maroney took to Instagram to share that she was rushed to an emergency room after throwing up an entire. Later, she received a report which said that is kidney stones.

The picture shared by her on Instagram had her wearing hospital clothes. She was lying down with her eyes closed and her pink colour mask was down to her chin. On top of the picture, Maroney wrote, "Tuesday I was throwing up all day, with severe pain in my back and stomach." She said that she had to come to the ER at 3 in the morning because her pain kept getting worse and that she couldn't stop throwing up. " Just got my CT scan back. I have a few kidney stones, " she revealed.
Here's what we know of Mckayla Maroney:
- Maroney was one of the members of the Fierce Five gymnast team that represented the US in 2012 at the Olympic games. She along with her team members won a gold medal and grabbed another silver medal individually at the vault event.
- Her social media account had been largely dormant for more than a couple of years before she made a comeback in 2019. Soon, she shared her own single named Wake Up Call.
- Maroney was one of the women who accused a gymnastic doctor Larry Nassar of sexual misconduct in 2017. Nassar was convicted of the crime in 2018.
- Since then Maroney has been using her social media accounts for asking the US Gymnastics authorities to show accountability for allowing someone like Nassar to be placed among girls and for allowing the subsequent abuse.
- She recently shared Simone Biles' video in which she had talked about the Larry Nassar scandal. In her tweet, Maroney wrote," I am so tired of talk. Give these women justice."
