Who is Mahima Makwana: Television actor Mahima Makwana is all set to make her Bollywood debut this year. She will be seen opposite Aayush Sharma in Salman Khan's Antim: The Final Truth. The film has been directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. However, this isn't Makwana's acting debut, as she is a known face on Indian television and has also worked in a film down South.
Scheduled for a release theatrical release on November 26, Antim: The Final Truth is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Marathi film Mulshi Pattern, which chronicled the rise and downfall of a farmer's son who eventually becomes one of the most dreaded gangsters in his area. While Salman Khan will be seen in the role of Sikh cop Rajveer Singh, Sharma will play the central role of a gangster named Rahulia. The film will see Varun Dhawan in a special appearance.
Who is Mahima Makwana?
Makwana started out as a child artist, making her debut in 2008 with the period drama Mohe Rang De, which featured actors Gavie Chahal, Prabhleen Sandhu and Arjun Bijlani in key roles. In 2009, she essayed one of her most prominent roles as a child artist, starring as a younger version of Gauri in Balika Vadhu. As a child artist Makwana has worked in numerous other shows on television like Aahat, Jhansi Ki Rani, CID and Miley Jab Hum Tum.
Eventually, Makwana was cast as a parallel lead in the show Sawaare Sabke Sapne... Preeto after which she got her first role as a lead actor in a television show with Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. Before foraying into films, Makwana went on to work in soaps such as Rishton Ka Charkavyuh, Shubharambh and Mariam Khan- Reporting Live.
In 2017, Makwana made her film debut with the Telugu language movie Venkatapuram. She then forayed into the OTT space, featuring in Rangbaaz Season 2 and Flesh.
