Who Is Lauren Silverman? American Socialite Gets Engaged To Simon Cowell

The English TV personality Simon Cowell is now engaged to his long-term girlfriend Lauren Silverman as per reports. The couple had been dating for almost 10 years. In 2013, they went public with the news of being together. They also have a son together named Eric who was born in 2014. 

The 45-year-old- Silverman met Cowell in 2004 while she was still married to Andrew Silverman. 

Who is Lauren Silverman?

Lauren Silverman is a socialite from New York, born on January 1, 1977. She was born into an influential real estate family in New York and has been famous since her early days in NYC. Her maiden name was Lauren Davies. Silverman is the eldest of two daughters of Steven Davies and Carole Eisenberg.

She attended the famous Miami Country Day School, a private, non-denominational school in Miami, Florida.

She was previously married to Andrew Silverman, who is a real estate developer, entrepreneur, and businessman in the United States. The Silverman's had a son together named Adam.

Silverman came into the limelight once her affair with Cowell became a media sensation and subsequently news of Silverman-Cowell having a child together broke out. Simon's name was mentioned in the divorce paper filed on the grounds of adultery by Lauren's ex-husband. However, Lauren's father went public and blamed Andrew for being a "cold and careless husband", who just knew to throw money at her wife. He further added, "she could not cuddle Gucci handbag and credit cards at night". 

There has been quite a blame game from both the parties and people involved with them throughout their divorce process. 

Even though Simon Cowell is a famous English personality and music mogul, Silverman keeps a low profile and does appear at many public functions. 

In 2013, Lauren Silverman was spotted among the audience of the show America's Got Talent and also appeared on The Morning Show. 

Cowell proposed to Lauren on their Barbados vacation during the Christmas holidays in front of their son Eric and stepson Adam, as per the sources of British tabloid newspaper, The Sun. Reportedly, Silverman said an "immediate yes" to the proposal by Britain's Got Talent famed Cowell.
