The National Joint Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress Kulisha Mishra is also a part of the Sarangarh Royal family in the Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. The family members of the royal family registered a police complaint on Sunday against an unidentified person for stealing the "state flag" installed on top of the palace and replacing it with a saffron flag.
On behalf of the family, the former members of Parliament Pushpa Devi Singh and Dr Parivesh Mishra have lodged the complaint at the Sarangarh police station. The complaint states that on Saturday evening, an unidentified person was seen in Giri Vilas Palace. By the afternoon of Sunday, the state flag was found missing from the flag post. A saffron flag was found in its place.
The family member alleged that the flag was stolen and demanded action into the matter. The investigating officials told news media that an investigation into the case is underway. A case has been registered under sections 457, which deals with house trespass, and 380, which deals with theft in a dwelling house, of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Who Is Kulisha Mishra?
This unidentified person was reportedly spotted by Mishra. In a quote to news media, she said that she spotted an unidentified person going out of the palace on Saturday night when she was on the lawn. She added that she did not react at the time as she was in panic and thought that it must be a case of theft.
"But this morning, we spotted the flag of the princely state missing from the flag post of the palace and a saffron flag was put in its place," she said. Mishra also said that this act can be a "political" message considering how the building is home to the oldest Congress tribal families of Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh.
Apart from being associated with the youth congress, she is also the Chairperson of Jawahar Bal Manch (JBM) CG and the former State GS for the Indian Youth Congress Chhattisgarh. She had done her LLM (Master of Law) in International Law and Development. She is an Alumna of the University of Nottingham.
