Who is Kiara Chettri: Singer Kiara Chhetri's song Why recently reached the number one spot on World Indie Music Charts, making her the youngest Indian to achieve this feat. Currently, the song is placed at number four on the chart, number two on Euro Indie charts. The 17-year-old had released her debut album 4 AM in November 2020.
Chhetri said in December last year that the only Hindi single in her music album, that comprises of 10 tracks, is a tribute to her mother. It is not easy for the Class 12 student to strike a balance between her studies and music. "There are times when I just want to do music all day. But yes, of course a balance is important," she told Hindustan Times, adding that she is still learning the concept of time management.

1. Kiara Chhetri started learning music at the age of four.
2. Her mother has been running a music school named Chantochords in Gurugram for the past 13 years.
3. Her Maternal grandfather is a music composer, known to have worked primarily on Nepalese songs.
4. Chettri initially she hated singing. "I thought it was so boring and that there was so much practice required for nothing." However, the budding artist added that once she started getting good at it, she didn't want to miss a single class.
5. Kiara Chettri graduated from the Trinity College of London in vocals, just at the age of 13.
6. Speaking on why she chose such a unique title for her solo album, she said that 4 am is actually her favourite time to write music.
7. Apart from singing, Chettri loves to watch romcoms and dance.
8. The singer had planned several live shows to mark her debut, but they had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
9. According to Chettri, her chart-topping song Why is about dealing with grief and feeling alone.
10. She plans to pursue a career in music, in future.
