In connection with the assault of a female actor in 2017, Malayalam film star Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan has been summoned for interrogation on April 11.
The summon in Madhavan's name comes after the prosecution submitted three audio recordings at the Kerala High Court which hinted at the possibility that she was the alleged mastermind behind the assault. One of the recordings belongs to Dileep's brother-in-law Sooraj. Reportedly, Sooraj is heard saying that the assault on the female actor was conducted at the behest of Madhavan. This audio conversation took place between Sooraj and Dileep's friend Sharath.
In 2017, an actor was allegedly abducted and molested in her car for two hours. Some people had forced their way into her vehicle and later escaped. This incident was filmed by the accused and later used to blackmail the survivor.
In this case, there are ten accused and the police have arrested seven, including Dileep who is now out on bail. The case, however, seems to have taken a new turn with the alleged involvement of Dileep's wife.
