He went on to reveal that the real reason behind the end of their marriage was that Kavita was allegedly having an affair with his sister's husband when they were living in London.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Raj Kundra claimed that Kavita was paid "thousands of pounds" for her interviews against his current wife Shetty and that he has not been able to meet his daughter, who was just 40 days old at the time of their separation.

Accusing Kavita of having an extramarital affair with his sister's husband, Raj Kundra said that she used to spend a lot of time with his brother-in-law "especially when I was out on business trip.

"Many of my family and even my driver would say we sense something fishy between these two and I would never believe it. I gave my ex-wife the benefit of doubt. I did everything I possibly could for both sides of the family because for me my side or her family is family, a principle I still follow today," he said

Shetty and Raj completed 11 years of marriage in November 2020. The couple is parents to a son, Viaan Raj, and daughter, Samisha Shetty Kundra.

1. Kavita, the daughter of a British businessman, married Raj Kundra in 2003 and they filed for divorce in 2006. They have a daughter Deelena Kundra, who was just 40 days old when the couple parted ways.
