Who Is Kajal Pisal? Actor To Replace Disha Vakani In Taarak Mehta ?

Devoted viewers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been missing Dayaben from the show for a very long time. In recent months, a few names, like Aishwarya Sakhuja and Rakhi Vijan, have surfaced for the role of Daya in the show. Nothing, however, was confirmed. According to the recent reports by Bombay Times, Kajal Pisal is a name being considered. She is reportedly being considered for the role of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Disha Vakani who is well-known for portraying the legendary character of Daya in Asit Kumarr Modi's sitcom left the show about four years ago. The producers of the show have been anticipating Dayaben's return ever since Vakani took a break from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2017. But it never happened, and more recently, Vakani also gave birth to her second child. The only option left to the production house was to find Vakani's replacement.

As per reports, actor Kajal Pissal is the name being considered by the makers for Dayaben's role. However, the actor, when asked for a response to the rumours, didn't give any response. But a source claims that "if Kajal is cast, she will have to potentially begin shooting next month."

Who is Kajal Pisal?

Kajal Pisal is known for works in Indian television shows. She began her acting career in television in 2007 when Ekta Kapoor gave her a minor role in Kuchh Is Tara. She then appeared in episodic roles in  Savdhaan India, CID, and Adaalat.

In 2011, she again worked under Kapoor's production, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She appeared as Ishika and it was her first big breakthrough. She then appeared as Riya Malik in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai opposite Karan Suchak. She also appeared as Maya in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan.

Pisal got further fame by appearing in the antagonist role of Mansi Raheja in Rashmi Sharma's longest-running television series Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She next appeared as Neeta Malhotra in the medical romantic drama Savitri Devi College & Hospital. Her next role was in Udaan as Kanchan Bedi.

After a two-year break, she returned in 2020 with a cameo as Adhira Mathur in Ekta Kapoor's spooky thriller Naagin 5. She also acted in Durga-Mata Ki Chhaya as Ketki Aneja. She has played Asha Oberoi in the romance drama series Sirf Tum since November 2021. According to reports, she has been approached by the makers of the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 12. She will reportedly take part as a wild card contestant.
