After the recent announcement of Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan, and Kiran Rao's divorce, Shaikh has been in trending on Twitter. Social media users are theorising about an extramarital affair as the reason for the couple's separation, making conjectures about a romantic angle between Khan and his Dangal co-star, Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Fatima and Khan have shared screen space in the movies,  Dangal and Thugs of Hindostan. Although there have been rumours in the past regarding their ‘growing closeness,’ neither ever spoke about it.

• Fatima Sana Shaikh started her career in the film industry at a very young age. The actor has worked as a child artist in many films.
• Born in Mumbai, India, the actor has climbed up the ladder debuting in Chachi 420 to being applauded for grabbing the spotlight of her role in the movie Dangal.
• She was enrolled at St. Xavier High School in Mumbai for her early education and later to Mithibai College, Mumbai for higher education.
