Faryal Waqar is an emergency physician, who also happens to be wife of cricketer Waqar Younis. Faryal Waqar is of Pakistani-Australian origins and lives her with family in Australia. The couple have a son Azaan Waqar and daughters Mariam and Maira Waqar.
Waqar is deeply involved in the mental health dialogue and in training on emergency care both in Australia and in Pakistan.
Waqar Younis is a cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer who captained Pakistan national cricket team.
Dr Faryal Waqar

When Wadaq Younis lost his father in September 2020, and had to leave for Pakistan, Faryal tweeted, "these are really tough times, to hear a grown man weep alone and unable to do anything is very painful."

Professional Life
Faryal Waqar as a physician participates in many initiatives focussed on imparting emergency medical education to young and aspiring medicos. She also went as part of an effort to Karachi to train. It was a course with local as well as consultant emergency physicians from Australia and UK coming in to train doctors in the Pakistan.

Faryal Younis is a big advocate of mental health. Not only through her social media but her appeals too are all focussed on reminding people to focus on their self-care and prioritise mental health.
