Who Is Divita Rai? Architect And Model Crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022

Model Divita Rai was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022 on August 28 at the LIVA Miss Diva Universe pageant held in Mumbai. The 23-year-old hailing from Karnataka was crowned by Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu.

Divita Rai will represent India in Miss Universe 2022 and previously participated in the Miss Diva Universe pageant in 2021. Harnaaz Sandhu won the crown and later led India to victory in the Miss Universe pageant. Rai was the second runner-up at the competition last year and took part in the competition again to win the title of Miss Diva 2022.

The official social media page of Miss Universe posted a video of Rai receiving her crown. The video showed Sandhu kissing the crown before presenting it to her successor. The two held hands as they walked the stage amid the audience’s applause. Contestant Ojasvi Sharma was crowned Miss Diva Popular Choice 2022 and Pragnya Ayyagari was crowned Miss Diva Supranational 2022.

The Miss Diva Universe 2022 pageant marked the 10th anniversary of the pageant.

Who Is Divita Rai?

• Divita Rai is an architect and model by profession. Rai was born in Mangalore, Karnataka and completed her schooling at National Public School.
• Rai then attended the Sir JJ College of Architecture in Mumbai.
• Her hobbies include basketball, badminton, music, and reading books.
• In an interview, Rai shared that she changed schools six times and lived in different parts of the country as a child. She said she has an “adaptive” personality due to this.
• In 2019, Rai participated in the Karnataka state competition for Femina Miss India, which sends India’s representative to the Miss World pageant.
• Divita Rai said that Sushmita Sen, India’s first Miss Universe turned Bollywood actor was her inspiration. She said Sen’s strength, warmth, and conviction in her abilities inspired her.
• Rai said she wants to work towards making education accessible to every child and said her father inspired her. She said that her father utilised education to get his family out of financial difficulties and challenges.
• Rai believes that education can empower people and help them achieve their goals.
