Dhairya Karwa: All You Need To Know About Deepika Padukone's Co-Star In Gehraiyaan

Who Is Dhairya Karwa? The actor who plays the role of Ravi Shastri in 83, Dhairya Karwa, will be soon seen opposite Deepika Padukone in the upcoming film by Shakun Batra scheduled to release on OTT next year.

The teaser for the upcoming film, which deals with young people navigating the complexity of relationships, was released on December 20. The film features Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in lead roles. The film Gehraiyaan is set to release on January 25, 2022, on Prime Video. The film also features Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in key roles.

The teaser begins with frames of two couples dealing with their relationship - Padukone and Karwa, Panday and Chaturvedi. Although the twist in the teaser is that it begins with Padukone and Chaturvedi kissing and ends with Karwa and Panday perhaps dealing with strain in their relationships.

According to the director of the film, it is a "journey into the intricacies of human relationships, it is a mirror into modern adult relationships." The film chalks out the emotional maze that an individual goes through and how decisions impact the life of an individual and the one's around them.

This is Dhairya Karwa's second film with Deepika Padukone. He is also part of the film 83, which is scheduled to release on December 24, this year. The film is about the iconic win of the Indian cricket team at the World Cup of 83, and he plays the role of Ravi Shastri. 83 features Ranveer Singh in the role of Kapil Dev and Padukone, who has also produced the project, as his wife Romi Dev. The film also features actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Jiiva, Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk and Saqib Saleem.

Who Is Dhairya Karwa?

On February 18, Karan Johar, who is popular for introducing new faces to the Hindi film industry, introduced Dhairya Karwa as one of the Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA) actors. He shared a video of the actor and wrote, "He has a vibe that can captivate you in an instant! Having already earned rave reviews for his performance in #URI, he's raring to prove his talent once again," adding, "Suave, sexy and...super sweet. That's a triple check for @dhairya275! Karwa has acted in the Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike. He played the role of Captain Sartaj Singh Chandok in Aditya Dhar's directorial debut film. "For me a character, a role is an opportunity to get to expand the bandwidth of my personality, to get to know other people, cultures and communities," he said in an interview, speaking about the film.

Originally from Jaipur in Rajasthan, the actor attended the Welham Boys School in Dehradun and later did his graduation from Sri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi.

Initially, the actor had planned on doing an MBA course in Mumbai but ended up modelling and working for various brands. After his debut as a Sikh officer in Uri, there was no looking back for him.
