Here is what we know about Crystelle Pereira who comes from London.

Pereira was one of the three finalists in Great British Bake Off along with Chigs Parmer and Giuseppe Dell’Anno. Great British Bake Off is into its twelfth season. This season of the show has been judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

The baker who loves to bake cakes, pastries and pies is quadrilingual. She was born in London to Kenyan born, Portuguese-Goan parents.

Pereira works for the asset management division for Goldman Sachs Group Inc's London office.

Pereira, who joined the company in 2018 also interned at the bank. She reportedly applied to the popular reality show "on a whim after spending time baking over lockdown". She was persuaded to apply for the show by her two elder sisters. She said, during the lockdown, her family gifted her a KitchenAid stand mixer and she spent time baking. She said, "I thought I would apply for GBBO in a few years, once I had more experience, but my sister insisted that I give it a shot."

The youngest of the three siblings, she credits her Portuguese-Goan upbringing for her cooking skills.

Crystelle is also a keen singer, a hobby that kept her busy during the lockdown.

She is the second Goldman Sachs employee to have made it to the show. Earlier in 2018, Antony Amourdoux, a vice president within Goldman's client services had also participated in it.

The show was shot in the summers and the finale was aired in the UK on Tuesday. Crystelle wrote on Instagram, "I can’t even deal with the emotions right now - star baker and I’M A GBBO FINALIST?!!! I don’t think those words will ever sink in. Ever. If I’m honest, I went into this week with a lot of imposter syndrome, feeling really out of my depth, so I just told myself to bake as if it were my last time in the tent. Patisserie was just never my ‘thing’. So, for this to happen is just mind-blowing, and I feel so blessed and eternally grateful. And of course, in complete and utter shock."
