Who is Chandrawati Verma? As the dates for the Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh 2022 near, the social media trolling and viral videos, pictures of young women candidates do the internet rounds. Recently, a video of Chandrawati Verma, who is the Samajwadi Party candidate from Uttar Pradesh has been doing rounds. She is seen dancing to the song Ole Ole from the film Yeh Dillagi starring Saif Ali Khan and Kajol.

Verma is an SP candidate from the Rath constituency of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, it covers the city of Rath, which is in Hamirpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The party denied the ticket from this seat to the incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly Gayadin Anuragi. Varma has suddenly come to focus with her dance video with two other women, wearing crop tops and pants. Netizens are either appreciating her video or trolling it for the candidate to be dancing in Ole Ole along with her attire.

Recently, Congress released its first list of 125 candidates for the election. The beauty pageant winner Archana Gautam is one of the members, she had joined the party in November 2021. Recently, even her bikini pictures from the competition were made viral on social media. She will be contesting from Meerut's Hastinapur seat. She won the title of Miss Uttar Pradesh in 2014.

Who is Chandrawati Verma?

Chandrawati Verma has always dreamt of becoming a politician and social worker. Reacting to her video becoming viral, she told India Today, "I like to dance very much. The video has not been stolen, I have posted it on social media but the way it is being presented is wrong."

She took all the criticism with spunk and thanked everyone, "...because I am proud of myself and my talent. My swimming photo has been taken. I was swimming at that time. I thank people because they have written the upcoming MLA on it."

On her dream to become the MLA, Verma talked about the development in Bundelkhand and said that it is left behind and there is no roads or schools. She wants to work in the sports sector there. She said that the area is dealing with problems of "equipment and training."

The TV9 Hindi reported that Verma is from Itaura Gang village of Gohand block in Hamirpur district. She has an active career in sports and had done her graduation from Bundelkhand University. She is a national level swimmer and is married to Hemant Rajput, who is a resident of Jalaun.
