Recently, Soorarai Pottru, the film which starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead role has been in news. There is soon going to be a Hindi remake of the film, starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan in the lead role. The filming for the remake began today. In the Tamil language film, which is the original, Balamurali played the role of Bommi, who is the wife of the main lead.
The story revolves around the life of a young man called Maara and is inspired by the events in the life of the founder of Simplify Deccan GR Gopinath. Maara is from a remote village with the hopes of building an airline service someday. To achieve his goal, he needs to go through obstacles and ordeals.
Bommi, played by Balamurali is Maara's wife. After Maara is able to create his own airline service, Bommi is made in charge of the in-flight catering. Her other name in the film is Sundari. Bommi is an independent woman who wishes to start her own bakery business, although the film focuses mostly on her marriage to Maara.

Who Is Aparna Balamurali?
Born in the year 1995, Balamurali is an actor and a playback singer. She has mostly worked in Malayalam and Tamil film industry and is known for her role in Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Sunday Holiday and Soorarai Pottru, amongst others. She is from Thrissur in Kerala and started working in the Malayalam film industry at the age of 18.
She made her acting debut in 2013 with the film Yathra Thudarunnu. She rose to fame with Maheshinte Prathikaaram in 2016 and made her debut in Tamil films in 2017 with 8 Thottakkal.
Reportedly, she did her Bachelor of Architecture from the Global Institute of Architecture in Palakkad, Kerala. In an interview, Vineeth Sreenivasan had said, "She was a quiet person while we worked during Second Class Yatra. It was the same case when we worked in Oru Muthassi Gadha as well. The fame of Maheshinte Prathikaaram didn't have any effect on her. She's easy to work with and also very focused when it comes to playing the character."
