The daughter of Aditya Birla and singer, Ananya Birla has released her single album Hindustani Way on July 14, composed by A. R. Rahman, dedicated to the Olympic bound players ahead of the upcoming games. The music video showcases the journey of Indian athletes since 1996.
Birla released Hindustani Way on her official YouTube channel on Wednesday and it garnered over 467,379 views in a few hours. The Official Team India cheer song for Tokyo 2020, voiced by Birla, is composed, arranged and produced by notable composer A R Rahman.
Who Is Ananya Birla?
The 26-year-old entrepreneur, musician and mental health advocate holds the credit of collaborating with famous international musicians including Afrojack, Sean Kingston and Mood Melodies and Lil Nas among others.
Being India's first artist with the English language single to go platinum in India, Birla's five singles have achieved platinum or double platinum status.
She is also the first Indian to sign with Maverick Management in Los Angeles and also the first Indian artist to be featured on the American national top 40 pop radio show, Sirius XM Hits.

Birla is a self-taught Santoor and guitar player who gained over 11 million views on YouTube last year with her collaboration with Sean Kingston. After a prolonged hiatus, Birla returned to the scene at the end of July, dropping the EDM-fused Let There Be Love, marking the start of an exciting new era for herself.

Apart from her musical recognitions, she is also the receiver of multiple awards for her work, including the ET Panache Trendsetters of 2016 award for Young Business Person. Along with that, she was also listed as one of GQs Most Influential Indians of 2018.
Last year she launched the Ananya Birla Foundation in an attempt to support mental health, equality, education, financial inclusion, climate change and efforts.
The said foundation reportedly provided menstruation kits, PPE kits and protective equipment to women and hospitals across Maharashtra and provided essentials to migrant workers during the pandemic.
