Who is Amala Paul: Actor Amala Paul turned 30 on October 26 and to celebrate the occasion she announced the launch of her productions house. The first film to be made under Amala Paul productions will be a forensic thriller, Cadaver.

Sharing the big news with her followers, Paul tweeted on Tuesday, "I've been in the industry as an actress for 12 years,144 months, and 4380 days. It's been such an enriching and rewarding 12 years. I've now grown wings to venture into a new line of work. I'm starting my very own production house."
Paul further revealed that Cadaver will be directed by Anoop S Panicker, and has been penned by Abhilash Pillai. While Aravind Singh has been credited for the direction of photography, Ranjin Raj has directed music for the thriller.
The actor also shared a poster of her latest offering in which she is seen enjoying a meal sitting on an autopsy table while being surrounded by cadavers and organs.
Who is Amala Paul?
Paul was born and raised in Ernakulum, Kerala. She holds a BA in English literature. In the year 2014, she got married to a filmmaker 2014, however, the couple filed for a divorce in 2016 and eventually parted ways in 2017. Earlier last year, it was reported that she had tied the knot to singer Bhavinder Singh.
The regional actor is known for her work across Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films. Paul made her debut with the Malayalam film Neelathamara in 2009 in which she had a supporting role. In 2010 she featured in the much controversial film Sindhu Samaveli, which shed light on illicit relations between a father-in-law and his daughter-in-law. Despite courting controversy, Paul left a mark with her performance in the film. It was with the release of Tamil film Mynaa, that Paul gained overnight popularity.

Then in 2013, she starred alongside southern superstar Vijay in the film Thalaiva, which played a crucial role in consolidating Paul's likeability in the masses. Paul has worked many popular films ever since- Nimirndhu Nil, Velai Illa Pattadhaari, ‘Amma Kanakku, Aadai, Mili, Love Failure and Thiruttu Payale 2.
In 2018, the actor was arrested for tax evasion. It was alleged that the star had bought a luxury car in Pondicherry using forger documents. However, she was released on bail soon after.
