Who Is Alankrita Sahai: Supermodel turned actor Alankrita Sahai opened up recently about walking out of Punjabi Film Fuffad Ji because of a producer’s alleged unprofessional attitude, unethical and immoral behaviour.

Sahai spoke to the Hindustan Times about facing the alleged misconduct on the sets of the film Fuffad Ji, which would have marked her debut in Punjabi Cinema. She alleged that the producer abused his power and crossed a line with her, prompting her to take the drastic move. Talking about the misconduct, Sahai said, “nobody should cross the boundary even verbally. If you make inappropriate, snarky and lewd comments about me, why would I tolerate it?” Further, she expressed the importance of self-respect to her as a woman while calling the producer “a crude and morally callous” man.

Who is Alankrita Sahai?

1. Alankrita Sahai is an Indian film actor who is best known for her work in Bollywood films like Love Per Square Foot and Namaste England, which both released in 2018. Netflix’s romantic comedy Love per square foot marked her acting debut in 2018 and co-starred Vicky Kaushal. In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle about her debut, she said that she loved the camera.
2. Sahai first appeared on the screen with the Album Aap Se Mausiiquii created by Himesh Reshammiya. Sahai has also been a part of a number of highly popular music videos including Coka by Desi music records, and Allah Ve with Jassi Gill.
3. The actor was roped in to play the leading lady in the Punjabi film Fuddad Ji in 2021. The film was to be directed by Pankaj Batra and also starred Binnu Dhillon and Gurnam Bhullar.
4. She wanted to be an IAS officer as a child and got into the modelling line by chance, as she said during an interview with the Etimes.
5. She was invested in modelling before her film career. At the age of 13, Alankrita won the Miss Noida title in 2009.  She was crowned Miss India Earth in 2014. She is the first Indian woman to win seven Miss Earth titles in the pageant, which was held in the Philippines. She is also India’s last representative at Miss Earth who was chosen by Femina Miss India and Miss Diva.
6. At the Miss Earth contest, Alankrita received a gold medal for evening gown, a silver for Miss Photogenic, and a bronze for swimsuit and national costume.
7. She is a movie buff. “ I idolised Rekha Ji, Asha Parekh, Saira Bano, Meryl Streep, Priyanka Chopra, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, and so many others,” said Alankrita.
8. She has won the Appreciation award for her support towards cancer and polio immunization camps.
9. Alankrita won the best dancer award at the Hollywood academy and is a highly talented dancer.
10. Apart from movies, Alankrita is currently working as an Interior Designer and actively updates her Instagram page with unique and interesting designs.
