On Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti, music artist Mika Singh announced Akanksha Puri as his future wife marking an end to the reality TV fueled quest that lasted more than two months. To win the singer's heart, the actor outperformed Prantika Das and Neet Mahal. The finale of Mika Di Vohti, which is The Bachelor-style show, was actually filmed on July 24 and the decision was taken by the singer following a glamorous finale episode that will air today on Monday, July 25.

Akanksha Puri is Mika Singh's friend, and the two have known each other for the past 13–14 years. Puri entered Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti as a wild card participant later in the show. Previously, rumours were doing rounds that the two have been in relationship, however, Neither Singh nor Puri ever confirmed it. Puri later claimed that when she witnessed Singh with other women in the show, she realised how much she didn't want to lose him. She reportedly went to the channel herself to request a spot on the show.

According to a source who spoke to The Indian Express about the finale's results, "While Singh did not marry Puri on the stage, he put the bridal garland on her to express his choice. Before they exchange wedding vows, he revealed that he wants to spend some quality time with her away from the spotlight. Who Is Akanksha Puri?

- Akanksha Puri is an actor and model most known to have worked in Bollywood film Calendar Girls, as well as a few films in the languages of Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

- During her brief time as a member of the international cabin crew, Puri began modelling assignments. After being noticed by a major production company in southern India, she landed her first role in the Tamil film Alex Pandian in 2013.

-She later appeared in movies like Praise the Lord, Lodde, Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander, and Action as an actor.
