Aishwarya Lekshmi: From Training As A Doctor To Signing A Film Opposite Dhanush

Who is Aishwarya Lekshmi? Actor Aishwarya Lekshmi revealed in a social media post on April 9 that she had tested positive for COVID-19. The 29-year-old actor wrote in her post that she wore masks, sanitised, maintained social distancing and did everything else that was recommended to stay safe. However, "at some point, I grew a tiny bit tired of how this was affecting my “normal life”... and took it easy," she added.

The actor also advised her fans in her post to not take it easy and "mask up, do everything you need to..don't take it for granted."

1. Aishwarya Lekshmi was born and brought up in Trivandrum, Kerala. She completed her MBBS degree from Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS), Ernakulam.
2. Lekshmi started her career as a model in 2014. She appeared on the covers of magazines such as Flower World, Salt Studio, Vanitha, FWD Life.
3. Though she never planned on acting, she gave it a try and won a chance to play a prominent role in the family drama Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela. 
4. Later, she went on to play the female lead in the romantic thriller Mayaanadhi. The film became a success and she received appreciation for her work.
5. In 2018, she appeared in Varathan with Fahad Faasil. In 2019, Lekshmi appeared in three Malayalam films- Vijay Superum Pournamiyum, Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu and Brother's Day.
6. She made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the movie Action, starring Vishal and Tamannaah.
7. Aishwarya Lekshmi will next be seen in action-thriller Jagame Thandhiram, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, starring Dhanush in the lead.
8. Lekshmi has won Asianet Comedy Awards, Yuva Awards, Asianet Film Awards, Kerala Film Critics Assocition Awards, Filmfare Awards South for her performances.
9. She is also related to popular South Indian musician Govind.
10. In 2019, Lekshmi called out an Instagram user for sending her sexually explicit messages. She posted screenshots of the messages she had received. "This account has been sexually harassing me with private messages. I am old enough to walk away if I see s*** on the road but please look at this boys in the picture. WOW!" she wrote.
