Actor Sindi Buthelezi, well-known for her role as Zinhle Mathe on the Generations soapie passed away in Africa, reports confirmed on Wednesday.
The 32-year-oldโs older sister Nonhlanhla Sikhakhane and entertainment commentator Phil Mphela confirmed the news prior to a statement that would be issued by the family later. The cause of the actor's death is unknown at this stage.
Since the news of her death broke, tributes for Sindi Buthelezi have started to trickle in on social media.

Here's what we know about the Generations actor Sindi Buthelezi:
-Buthelezi was born and raised in the East Rand in a small town called Ratanda.
-She pursued her love for acting at a local community hall and in local events.
-The actor got her first big break with a television series on SABC1 titled Generations, the countryโs number one telenovela at the time, which focuses on the aspirations of South African people.
-She joined the 90โs soap opera as Zinhle Mathe, Chopper's girlfriend played by Mandla Gaduka, in the year 2013.
- For being part of a show that ranked consistently among the most loved series in South Africa, she became a household name.
- Some actors from the show went on strike over a pay dispute and were later fired as the show went on hiatus. It returned in 2014 with a new cast and some old members.
-After Generations went through a rebranding, Buthelezi did not reprise her role.
-Besides that, her other acting stints involve playing Ntombi in HIV/Aids drama Soul City and Patience Khumalo in the series Ashes To Ashes.
