Who is Aashna Lidder: The teenage daughter of Brigadier LS Lidder held herself together while performing the last rites of her father on December 10. Brigadier Lidder was one of the 13 people killed in the tragic Indian Air Force helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on December 8. However, on the same day as she bid farewell to her father, many claimed that Aashna deleted her Twitter account after she was trolled.
Soon after the teen was seen standing next to her mother, to send off her father, many social media accounts began sharing screenshots of the kind of tweets that were liked by an account in Aashna's name. Many claimed her to be 'woke' because she has liked posts by the Congress Party and its leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. There is confirmation on whether or not the account in question indeed belonged to Brigadier Lidder's daughter, or that it was indeed deleted due to trolling.
Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi to spoke up on the issue, criticising the alleged targeting of Aashna by trolls, tweeting, "17 year old, grieving yet holding strong, has just cremated her father,a decorated army officer,is being trolled for her views, they want to moderate her woke-ism, military train compulsorily, want her to be corrected. In the process got her to delete her account. How low will you go?"

Growing up in a military family, she has experienced the highs and the lows every child in a situation like her has been through.
