Where to watch Samantar Season 2: Actor Swwapnil Joshi is back with the second season of the hit Marathi web-series Samantar. The series resumes the story from where it left off in season one. While Joshi and Tejaswini Pandit will portray their characters Kumar and Nima Mahajan again, the thriller has taken a new twist with the introduction of a mysterious woman played by Sai Tamhankar. The show is adapted from author Suhas Shirwalkar’s book of the same name.

The Dil Vil Pyar Vyar actor, recently said in an interview that his character in the show, Kumar Mahajan, is very different from his real-life persona. The actor said shooting the second season was more challenging because he had to recreate the character after a long break. Samantar Season 2 will start streaming from July 1, 2021.

- Swwapnil Joshi, Pandit and Tamhankar - worked together the last time in Marathi romantic dramaTu Hi Re in 2015. The movie was well-received among the regional audience and critics. After six years, they have reunited to once again for Samantar 2.

- The web-series will have an OTT release on July 1 on MX Player.
- Based on a novel, the story revolves around the lead Kumar Mahajan’s life as it changes after he goes on to find a man, Sudarshan Chakrapani (played by Bharadwaj) who shares the same destiny as him, which means the life that Kumar is living has already been lived by Chakrapani.
- In the second season, Samantar follows Kumar's search for his luck and he is handed a diary that can give him the details of Chakrapani's, life. Soon the already married man finds out that a new woman is going to enter his life. Who is this "other woman" and what's her ulterior motive? - something that fans will discover on July 1 when the series goes live.
- Speaking about reuniting with Pandit and Joshi, Tamhankar, who is known to have worked in both Marathi and Hindi film industry, told ANI, "I've known Swwapnil and Tejaswini for more than a decade now. Working with them has always been so much fun." She said that she has spent hours on multiple sets with the actors and claimed it was an "absolute pleasure" to work with both of them again. "Each character we work on brings out a different, lesser-known facet of our personality but the camaraderie we share just adds to all those little moments on screen that makes it an enthralling watch for the viewers," she explained about her character in the series.
