Wondering Where To Watch Janhvi Kapoor's Good Luck Jerry? Read Details Here

Janhvi Kapoor will be seeing the release of her eagerly anticipated movie Good Luck Jerry on OTT this month. Instead of a theatrical release, the movie will be directly heading to digital streaming. The film is a remake of 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila.

Kapoor will portray the same role that was essayed by Nayanthara in the original black comedy. However, the setting of the Siddharth Sengupta-directed film would be different. Good Luck Jerry also features Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh in prominent roles and has been written by Pankaj Matta.

This will be Kapoor's fourth feature film as a female lead and the second to be adapted from a regional film. Her debut movie Dhadak, in which she starred alongside Ishaan Khatter, was adapted from the superhit Marathi film Sairat.

Good Luck Jerry focuses on a cash-strapped young woman who resolves to drug trafficking as she needs money urgently.

Talking about her upcoming release, Kapoor said, “Good Luck Jerry has been an exciting experience as it gave me the opportunity to explore a completely unique genre. Siddharth has been a catalyst in truly bringing out the Jerry in me! Working with Aanand L Rai was an enriching and rewarding experience. To be a part of this film – has been a dream come true." She further added that as an actor the film has given her an opportunity to ensure that her work reaches a larger diaspora.

In the film's"> trailer Kapoor is seen playing the role of Jaya Kumari, an apparently innocent girl from Bihar who is prepared to do anything for her dying mother, played by Mita Vashisht. A young woman who has reportedly spent her entire life in Bihar and is currently trying to make ends meet in Punjab, Jaya Kumari has little avenues open to her. With time running out, Jaya decides to smuggle drugs as it could potentially help save her mother. But will Jaya manage to evade the local police? How will she prevent drug lords from coming after her family when things go south?
