Catching on the theme of marriages and conflicts within, a new series Decoupled starring R Madhavan and Surveen is going to release this month.
The recently released ">trailer of the series shows the married couple Madhavan and Chawla bickering in front of the therapist, the gym and basically everywhere. The complicated subject of a failing marriage is dealt with a comedic lens where the couple questions if they can start seeing other people while staying under the same roof for the sake of their daughter.

While standing on the balcony thinking about the good times they have had as a couple, they both come with different years. While Chawla's character thinks they were happy for four years, Madhavan thinks it was eight years of married bliss.
This is the first time that Madhavan will be seen in a Netflix series while Surveen has previously been in Sacred Games, a Netflix production. The series has been created and written by Manu Joseph while Hardik Mehta has directed it. Manu Joseph in his interviews with the media has talked about series and said that the male protagonist notices circumstances that most people usually look past. The unhealthy attitude of the male protagonist forms eventually breaks the marriage and gets him in trouble. Surveen Chawla's character is a "long-suffering wife" who finally decides to take the call on how her marriage will go forward.

Joseph said, "One of our goals was to keep it real. The thing about comedy is that if it is not real it is not funny; and what is difficult a bit comedy is that every component in a scene has to fire for it to work."
Where To Watch Decoupled Online?:
The series will start streaming on OTT platform Netflix from December 17. This comes after the platform had released Sanya Malhotra and Abhimnayu Dassani starrer Meenakshi Sundareshwar film in November this year. The film also dealt with the subject of marriage.
