Where To Watch Britney Vs Spears: The much-awaited Britney Spears documentary's trailer is out. Titled Britney vs Spears, it is a play on the singer's battle against her father who has been accused of conservatorship abuse, asking a judge to "press charges" against him.
Th documentary, directed by filmmaker Erin Lee Carr, will also pose questions about the need of the highly unusual legal arrangement and the alleged corruption of her father’s involvement as well as the larger issues with conservatorship laws and the overall justice system.
Britney vs. Spears is set to release on Netflix on September 28. The next day, September 29, will be a milestone court hearing in the singer's long and drawn-out legal battle as she fights for her freedom out of the conservatorship that she’s been under for more than ten years with her father. Jamie Spears has largely been acting as her sole conservator.
Netflix hasn't released any statement regarding the cast of the documentary. So, who out of her kith and kin participated in the project is not clear. Spears has not yet commented on the Netflix documentary.
It is a Story Syndicate production, in association with Carr Lot Productions. Carr is producing with Sarah Gibson, Kate Barry, Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Jon Bardin, Julie Gaither, Jenny Eliscu and Amy Herdy.
Carr has previously worked with Netflix on How to Fix a Drug Scandal and with HBO on I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth vs. Michelle Carter. She’s also famous as the author of the memoir All That You Leave Behind. She is also the daughter of acclaimed journalist and author David Carr.
