When did Alia Bhatt Meet Ranbir Kapoor For The First Time ?

Do you know when when Alia Bhatt met Ranbir Kapoor for the first time? How old was she? Well, the Highway actor was just 12 when she first met Ranbir for the photoshoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Balika Vadhu. The movie, however, never got made. However, the duo carries fond memories of their first meeting. In a throwback interview, Alia revealed how she reacted when she first met her Ranbir Kapoor.

It was during the promotion of her 2014 film Highway that she recalled her first meeting with Ranbir. He was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Black at that time.

"When I met Ranbir for the first time, I was 12 years old. He was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I had to do a photoshoot with him. And I was so shy that I had to keep my head on his shoulder and I could not do it. Bhansali sir was saying I was flirting with Ranbir," Alia revealed.

In another interview, she revealed, "I have always loved Ranbir. I love him more after Barfi. He is my biggest crush and he will always be my biggest crush."

Ranbir, on the other hand, revealed that he has been an Alia Bhatt fan since they first met. In an interview, he mentioned that he and Alia were going to debut together when Bhansali was making a film called Balika Vadhu. They had also done a photoshoot together and since then he has been charmed her.

Alia Bhatt recently spoke about her romantic relationship with Ranbir and said that she was already married to Ranbir Kapoor in her head. "And, I think I’ve been married to him in my head for a long time. I feel like the timing of even when we get married, it’s all going to work out in all the right and beautiful ways.”

Alia Bhatt has been dating Ranbir Kapoor since 2017 and the couple is all set to get hitched now. The first time they made their public appearance together was in May 2018 during Sonam Kapoor's wedding.  The two will reportedly get married on April 15, 2022.
