Producer Firoz Nadiadwala reportedly plans to make Awara Paagal Deewana 2 and Welcome 3 without Akshay Kumar after Hera Pheri 3.
According to reports, Akshay Kumar's statement over Hera Pheri 3 has affected the producer, and there is much chaos going on the subject. Read on to know more about it.
Welcome 3 Without Akshay Kumar
Reports stated that even though the Hera Pheri franchise has a special place in Kumar's career, he was disappointed for being able to feature in the upcoming edition. Kumar refused to reduce his asking price whereas the producer Firoz Nadiadwala was trying to be practical. It's unfair that only Kumar makes money while the producer loses money. Thus, this can't be a one-way path. And after the pandemic, one is forced to accept a lower salary.
The reports also claimed that Nadiadwala tried to persuade Kumar of this, but he resisted. Kartik Aaryan was brought on board for Hera Pheri 3 by Firoz Nadiadwala because he had no other option. Akshay Kumar concluded that Nadiadwala meant business at this point. Nadiadwala was disappointed and hurt when Akshay Kumar publicly announced that he was leaving Hera Pheri 3 due to issues with the script. He has now decided to move through with Welcome 3 and Awara Paagal Deewana 2 without Kumar. However, Hera Pheri 3 would currently take priority.
Akshay Kumar recently discussed his decision not to join Hera Pheri 3 at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. The actor stated, "Hera Pheri' has been a part of me. Many people have memories, and even I have good memories of it. But I feel sad that we haven't made the third part for many years. The film was offered to me, but I was unsatisfied with the screenplay and the script. I was not happy with it."
