Watch Kota Factory season 2: The second season of web series Kota Factory will start streaming from September 24. Based on the lives of students preparing for ITT-JEE exams, the show was widely praised by viewers for its first season.

Kota Factory Season 2 will not only feature the much-loved characters from season 1, its plot will also tell viewers the fate of various coaching students who had to take tough decisions for the sake of better career prospects. Produced by The Viral Fever, the show has been directed by Raghav Subbu. The series debuted on YouTube initially, in 2019. However, due to its popularity, it was acquired by a prominent streaming platform later.

What is Kota Factory about?

Set in Kota, which is said to be the coaching capital of India, the show follows a group of students in the city who are preparing to crack the ITT-JEE exam. The show's lead is a small town boy named Vaibhav who wants to secure admission to the city's famed Maheshwari classes. But since he is late in securing a seat, Vaibhav ends up enrolling in Prodigy classes. Living as a paying guest, Vaibhav befriends fellow students Balmukund Meena and Uday.

Season 1 of the show follows Vaibhav's struggle to adjust to his new life and routine in Kota and catch up with other students. He also develops a crush on another student named Vartika. However, towards the end, Vaibhav manages to crack the entrance exam for Maheshwari classes, as a result of which he has to move into their residential campus, away from his friends.

The first season also exposed how coaching classes trick students, with all of them using photographs of the same topper students on billboards to promote their venture, how students are divided on basis of their potential, and how the voice of students has more weightage simply because they are toppers.

Kota Factory Cast

The show's cast primarily consists of young actors, led my Mayur More, who plays the role of Vaibhav. Actors Ranjan Raj and Alam Khan play Balamukund and Uday- Vaibhav's fellow paying guest and friends, while Ahsaas Channa features as Uday's girlfriend Shivani. Actor Revathy Pillai will be seen in the role of Vartika- Vaibhav's love interest in season2, while Urvi Singh portrays the character of Meenal- a topper at Prodigy classes. Actor Jitendra Kumar, who has featured in films like Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Chaman Bahaar and other web series like Panchayat and TVF Pitchers, will again essay the role of coaching teacher Jeetu Bhaiyaa, as he did in season 1 of the show.
