The multi-starrer film Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is all set for its release on January 7, 2022.
The film has been directed by Gauravv K. Chawla and produced by Nikkhil Advani and Sameer Nair under the banners Emmay Entertainment and Applause Entertainment respectively.
The film's star cast includes Lara Dutta, Naseeruddin Shah, Anya Singh, Soha Ali Khan, Shikhar Srivastava, Kritika Kamra and Raghubir Yadav.

Lara Dutta as Rajkumari Devyani alias madam kadki, Soha Ali Khan as Rajkumari Gayatri alias the sanskaari one, Kritika Kamra as Rajkumari Kaamini alias kaafi trending, Anya Singh as Rajkumari Uma alias total nazuk.
According to the details of the film's plot revealed so far, it deals with a dysfunctional family of a former king. He cooks up a plan to unite his estranged daughters while an income tax investigation hangs over the hidden treasures of his palace. The former king (played by Naseeruddin Shah) has four daughters. The story is reportedly based in Rajasthan. The film will reportedly resemble the Marathi film Rajwade and Sons which was released in 2015.

The makers recently came out with the"> trailer with the caption, "An erstwhile king of a dysfunctional family devises an outlandish plan to bring his estranged daughters back together. While the princesses’ hearts begin to slowly melt, an income tax investigation looms on the palace’s apparently hidden ‘fortune’ treasure. Will he succeed? "
The 40-second teaser of the film gave a final glimpse of all the characters of the show with Naseeruddin Shah sitting in the middle, flanked on the two sides by Khan and Dutta. In the backdrop is a picturesque fort surrounded by a quintessential garden.
Lata Dutta shared her experience of working with Naseeruddin Shah and said, "There is a tremendous amount of nervousness and anxiety when you are facing an actor like that. Naseer saab is light-years ahead of us in terms of his craft. But what an incredible opportunity to watch, learn, observe and imbibe. One of the biggest reasons for me to do the show was that he was in it."
