Conversations with Friends is based on the book of the same name by Irish best-selling author Sally Rooney. It is about two college friends who become entangled in the lives of an elderly couple. The series will premiere soon, and here's all you need to know if you're interested in watching it.
According to the plot, Frances, who is 21 years old, is educated and insightful, while Bobbi, who is also 21, is assertive and appealing. They are close friends and perform poetry together in Dublin, Ireland, despite having broken up three years ago. They meet Melissa, a writer, at one of these events.
The couple begins to spend time with her and her husband, Nick. Soon, the friendship develops into displays of affection and then into a secret relationship. While Bobbi defends Melissa and distances herself from Frances, Frances and Nick develop a secret sexual relationship. Both friends take sides in the marriage of the other couple, putting their own relationship at risk. All of this could put the bond between Bobbi and Frances to the test.
