Watch Call My Agent: Popular French series Dix Pour Cent or Call My Agent is getting a Hindi adaptation. The web series, directed by filmmaker Shaad Ali, features actors Aahana Kumra, Soni Razdan, Rajat Kapoor and Ayush Mehra in lead.
The series revolved around a talent agency that is struggling to stay afloat after the death of its founder who played a big role in retaining popular celebrities. Not that their founder Soumyajit Dasgupta is no more, the agents are struggling to retain their "talent" as other agencies begin circling them.
The agents have to tackle fragile star egos, tussles with other agencies, multiple projects and weird casting requirements. The agents worry that if one of their main clients- bigger stars and filmmakers, ever leave them, the rest will follow too, and the company will end up in deep financial trouble.
"Four savvy, street smart talent agents manage fragile star egos and real human emotions to save their agency from closure after the sudden death of the founder,” the official press release of the show reveals.
A series about Bollywood will be incomplete if it doesn't flex big industry names. Apart from its impressive cast, the show also boasts of special appearances from popular names in the industry like Dia Mirza, Farah Khan, Richa Chadha, Jackie Shroff, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Akshara Haasan.
Calling the show a fun masala entertainer, Kumra told Pinkvilla that she got a chance to work with so many actors, each from a different space. Speaking about her experience of working with director Shaad Ali, she said, " I thought I had so much energy till I met Shaad - he is so energetic, he is quick to respond, and he is very sure when he has got a shot."
