Virat Kohli Quotes On Fatherhood: Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli's daughter Vamika turns a year old today. Till date, the couple has not shared images of Vamika on social media in which her face can be clearly seen. Before her birth, the couple had requested the paparazzi to not take pictures of Vamika and have thanked them time and again for agreeing to do so.
While Sharma and Kohli's fans may not know what Vamika looks like, this hasn't stopped them from showering love on the little one. On her first birthday, the toddler is being wished by people on social media nonstop.
Anushka Sharma's brother Karnesh Ssharma too shared a collage of some of the most adorable pictures of the couple with their daughter and wished Vamika a "Happy growing up." Ssharma shared the collage containing six pictures of the couple's happy moments with their daughter, also writing, "Lots more memories to the best parents @anushkasharma @virt_kohli."

Along with Vamika turning one, it is also one year of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma becoming parents and experiencing that part of life, here is what Virat Kohli said about his journey as a parent:
- In an interview with television host Danish Sait, Kohli said that things change quite drastically once you become a parent. "Everything that you have been used to--routine--everything changes. You have to totally be aligned and aware of taking care of another life that is totally dependent on the mother primarily, but also on the father."
- According to Kohli, "it's a different environment" but he and Sharma seem to be enjoying it thoroughly.
- In the same interview he said that parenthood is "life-changing" and very different from all other experiences. "Just to see your child smile at you is something that you cannot put in words...I cannot express how that feels from within. But it's been such a blessed and amazing time."
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had announced the pregnancy in August 2020 and Vamika was born on January 11, 2021.
- Posting a picture of Anushka Sharma with Vamika, Kohli on his Instagram feed wrote about experiencing childbirth while wishing his partner a Happy Women's Day. He wrote, "Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them."
- In June 2021, on Father's Day, Kohli posted on Instagram the experience of becoming a parent. He wrote, "Happy father's day to all the father's all across the world. Of all the wonderful things that God has blessed me with, being a father is by far the greatest joy and blessing. As I miss my old man this day, I also celebrate our memories together." Kohli's father Anil passed away in 2006 after a cardiac arrest.
- In January, ahead of Vamika's birth Kohli took paternity leave in between the Australia tour of the Indian cricket team. In an interview, he said that he wanted to spend time with his wife, Sharma, after the birth of Vamika and it was something he truly wanted to experience.
